Two Women Raped and Persecuted by Unknown Group, Allegedly Terrorist and Separatist Group in Yahukimo, Papua
Yahukimo, POJOKINDO.com – Two women in Yahukimo regency, Papua, had been raped and persecuted by unknow criminal activity, allegedly terrorst group in Yahukimo Papua. This incident caused one of the victims died terribly. This incident happened in Thursday, October 12th between 11.00 AM to 12.40 PM East Indonesian
The victims are known from two different local tribes in Yahukimo, which is Ngalik and Yali tribe. The identity of the victims is already confirmed by local authority. The victims are: Ima Salepole (29) who got severe and extensive burn injury and Aminera Kabak (25), found deceased.
According to the local police public relation head of field, Police Grand Commisioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, the casualties as mentioned above, are the result of a criminal incident in an agricultural area near Kampung Baru, Dekai District, Yahukimo regency.
“This persecution incident has been investigated by the local police station in Yahukimo. We have received trustworthy information, the perpetrators came to visit the victims, they forced the victims to have sexual intercourse with them, but the victims refused to do so. Because of the refusal, the perpetrators persecuted the victims,” said Police Grand Commisioner Ignantius Benny Ady Prabowo
The perpetrators raped the victims before they stabbed them in the genital area using sharp objects. Tragically, the incident happened in front of one of the victim’s children. As for now, people in Yahukimo are terrified to do their daily activities, especially women. Benny said, “We have evacuated the victims to Dekai Public Hospital to receive serious medical attention. The local law authorities are committed to investigate the motives and identity of the offenders in this criminal incident, thus a proper legal process can be enforced to the offenders, in accordance with their atrocities.”(Khoirul Anam)
